About yoga & practice
What is yoga?
Yoga is a 3,000-year-old philosophy originating from Hinduism. The yoga most of us know (Asana, the postures) is just one of eight limbs of the practice, alongside things like Pranayama (breath work) and meditation.
Do I need to be flexible or strong to start?
Not at all. Yoga is there for anyone curious to practice, and our teachers make sure options are offered to suit your body, whatever that looks like on the day.
Do I need experience?
No, most of our classes are suitable for beginners. Check the class descriptions on the homepage if you're not sure where to start.
Do I have to be Hindu to practice?
No. Although yoga is fundamentally connected with Hinduism, and you'll see shrines and Hindu imagery around the space, you don't have to be Hindu or follow any particular faith to practice here.
Is yoga a workout?
No, our focus is on uniting body, mind and soul through breath. That said, classes like Power Vinyasa and Rocket will absolutely get your heart rate up.
Your first class
I'm nervous about coming. What if I don't fit in?
You are wanted and valued in our community: there is no expectation of who you should be or how you should perform. Come as you are.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing you can move freely in, covering top and bottom. Shoes come off at the door.
What should I bring?
Mats, props and cushions are all provided. Just bring yourself, and a water bottle if you'd like one.
What if I'm running late?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before class starts. We're not able to let latecomers into a class that's already begun: it's disruptive for everyone already settled in.
In the room
What if I can't do a pose?
That's not a problem at all: our teachers consistently offer different options for every Asana, so you can find the version that works for your body that day.
Will a teacher touch me to adjust my pose?
Only with your consent. Teachers always ask at the start of class, and you will never be physically adjusted without agreeing to it first.
Can I eat, drink or use my phone during class?
Water in a sealable bottle is fine; food isn't, except where medically necessary. Phones and smartwatches should be on silent and out of sight (medical devices excepted), and we ask that quiet is maintained throughout so everyone gets the best environment to practice in.
Can I take photos?
Before or after class only, and please don't include other participants without their permission.
Is there a shower?
Yes, one shower with amenities is available. Towel rental is £3.

Accessibility & inclusion
Is the studio wheelchair accessible?
There's no lift: the studio is reached by stairs, so it isn't currently accessible to non-ambulant wheelchair users. We know disabled people know best which accommodations they need, so if you have questions or need specific adjustments, please email us and we'll talk it through.
Is the space neurodivergent-friendly?
We are neurodivergent-owned and prioritize cultivating a neurodiversity-friendly space. However, accommodations are not one size fits all, so please reach out if you have specific questions.
Do you have a zero-tolerance policy on discrimination?
Yes, without exception: racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, ableism and xenophobia have no place here.
